Our house:

Our house is situated in the Ropa Valley near the village Giannadis. Built in 1995 with 6 other houses all owned by Dutch people it is also known as "Holland Village"

Our house can accommodate 10 adults and a baby, has 4 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and a double garage, all situated on 2000 square meter of private land/garden. We have our own private swimming pool. Exchange or rent includes also our car, a Mazda 323F. In the garage we have about 8 bicycles for our guests to use and many toys etc… such as basketball and table tennis.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, wash dryer and magnetron. We also have Satellite TV and many books and games which you can use.

We have a big family, so therefore need when we exchange anyway a home which can fit us all.

The Island:

Corfu is a beautiful Greek Island in the Ionic sea and famous because of the historic culture. Sisi (queen Elizabeth of Austria) built her summer residence called Achileon. It is famous all over the world with its mild climate and specially on the west coast (about 7 to 10 minutes from our house) the lovely sand-beaches and very clear seawater. Many influences from Western Europe can be found on Corfu as many conquerors tried to conquer the Ionic Islands such as Romains,Venetians, Turks, English, Russian and France. But finally all in vain and Corfu still has its Greek atmosphere with lots of architectural buildings from western countries. For more info please look on http://corfu.forthnet.gr

Only 5 minutes away from our house in the same Ropa Valley there is a 18 holes golf course with very competitive holes and exciting views. You can rent sailboats to visit to other Islands in the area or just rent waterscooter or small boat for touring or fishing. Also many scuba diving possibilities are available and one closeby in Ermones 6 minutes from our house. Special hiking and biking pads and tours are available all over Corfu.

Shopping and sightseeing every day if you want.

Or just relax, buy in the morning warm bread from the local bakery in Giannadis Village, eat your breakfast outside on the terras, sit in the sun with a cool valley wind and jump in our poole a few times a day and read, drink, talk or sleep.
